"Amazing! I had a gas leak, and Andy arrived within an hour of my call. He located the gas leak immediately. Checking the engineer on the gas safe website made me feel secure and in professional hands. Very good emergency service! I will use the company again."

Get free quote! Understanding vented and unvented cylinders can be challenging, but our gas engineers are here to provide you with the best professional advice to help you make an informed decision. Any central heating system, except for a combi boiler, requires a hot water cylinder to store and supply hot water. Get free quote
- A direct vented cylinder heats cold water using an immersion heater within the cylinder, unlike an indirect vented cylinder which heats water through the central heating boiler.
- Unvented cylinders connect to the mains, while vented cylinders do not and may require a pump to improve water pressure.
- A direct cylinder heats water using its own elements controlled by a thermostat, while an indirect cylinder is connected to an external source, such as a boiler, which heats the water. The flow rates are significantly better when the system operates at mains pressure.
- A Megaflow cylinder is an exceptionally efficient hot water system that connects directly to the mains, thereby delivering hot water at the existing mains pressure.
- Megaflow is one of the best unvented hot water cylinders on the market, lasting up to 25 years and made of duplex stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion, especially in areas with very hard water.
